Pump-probe transient absorption spectrometer, based on a 1 kHz amplified Ti:Sapphire system
pump wavelength: 266nm, 320-350nm (in prep.), 400nm, 480-680nm, 800nm
probe wavelength: white light continuum from 360nm – 750nm
instrument response function: 150 fs (fwhm) time delay range up to 2 ns
photometric resolution: 10-5 absorption change, optimized for short accumulation times

The excitation source can be changed between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd harmonic of the fs-amplifier system and the output of a home-built two-stage NOPA and its mixing with 800 nm (in prep.). Liquid samples are typically placed in a 1mm thick quartz cell with an argon bubbling system to avoid sample damage. Flow cells, optionally with temperature control, can be also used. Solid transparent samples are continuously moved laterally and vertically.
