Setup / Configuration | ||
It consists of a Ti :Sapphire regenerative amplifier with external stretcher/compressor unit. The output Power is 1.2W at a repetition rate of 10-250 kHz. The typical pulse width is 25 nm and the pulse duration <80 fs. Excitation can be tuned from 200 nm to 1.6 micron using 2 OPA’s. The detection window extends from 270 nm to 2 micron. By scanning the angle of the sum-frequency crystal, a large spectral window is accumulated on a CCD detector, making it possible to obtain complete emission spectra of molecules with a time-resolution better than 100 fs (given by the width of the gate pulse). | Figure: Time-frequency plots of the ultrashort lived fluorescence of a Ruthenium-polypyridine complex
