The Marie-Heim-Vögtlin Programme was a grant for women researchers who had to curtail their careers for family reasons, including moving for their partner's career. In 2017 it was replaced by the new PRIMA awards.
European Union Funding
Applications for EU Funding in Switzerland are supported by EUResearch offices based across Switzerland. If you are interested in seeking EU funding, it is advisable to register for their Newsletter and receive relevant updates of research calls relating to your research. Euresearch Offices run events to help researchers apply for funding, if you are registered, you will be notified of these events.
The Marie Curie Fellowship Fund covers grants for individual researchers, to encourage international and cross-institutional career development. There is an excellent 2010 Marie Curie R&D Guide which outlines the 8 different types of grant/actions available.
