Swissphotonics Workshops
Dr. Christoph Harder of the Swissphotonics Network organizes - in collaboration with the NCCR MUST TT delegate - workshops that serve to strengthen the network between academia and industry. The SLN finances these workshops, which are free of charge for the participants. The TT workshops concentrated on the following activities:

- Femtosecond photonics instrumentation ,
- Femtosecond technology to harvest light
- Complex medications
In Phase I, six workshops were planned and/or organised:
- 1st Photonic Instruments Workshop, Technopark Zürich, November 24, 2011. Attended by 65 participants, 12 from 6 different MUST groups (including junior PIs), 8 from other academia (including Univ. of Appl. Sci.), 38 industry, 4 Swiss Photonics, 1 CTI.
- Femtosecond energy harvesting and storage - June 13, 2012 organised by NCCR MUST, Swissphotonics and the Energy Center Lausanne. The workshop attracted 64 participants, 17 from 5 different MUST groups (including junior PIs), 28 from other academia (including Univ. of Appl. Sci.), 10 from industry.
- A planned Workshop on "Methods to validate Fluorine Chemistry Modelling", Basel in November 2012, was cancelled due to a lack of interest from industry.
- 2nd Photonic Instruments Workshop, Technopark Zürich, November 9, 2013. This meeting was attended by 78 participants, 19 from 10 different MUST groups (including junior PIs), 10 other academia (including Univ. of Appl. Sci.), 40 industry, 6 Swissphotonics, 1 CTI.
- NCCR MUST: novel tools for the industry, jointly organised by NCCR MUST, Swissphotonics and the University of Basel, Uni Basel, November 14, 2013. This meeting was to focus on femtosceond chemistry for the pharma-industry, but had to be cancelled due to a lack of commitment from the industry
- Workshop on UV-Supercontinuum and compression, organised by Jean-Pierre Wolf, Université de Genève, GAP, March 5, 2014. This was an internal meeting with guest speaker Eberhard Riedle. The goal of the meeting was to identify the most practical methods; issues will then be max energy range, shortest pulse duration, shot-to-shot stability, phase stability, drifts, alignment complexity, reproducibility, rep rate issues, etc.
