Annual Meeting 14 - 16 January 2019, Grindelwald
The 2019 NCCR MUST Annual Meeting will take place in the Sunstar Hotel in Grindelwald from January 14 to 16. It is open to NCCR MUST PIs, Junior and Associate PIs, and members of their groups.
The full program can be downloaded here: Annual Meeting Program
Tutorial Speakers:
Prof. Carlos Silva, Georgia Tech School of Physics, Atlanta, USA
Research area: How excited states are created and how they evolve in complex materials of interest in optoelectronics
Tutorial: Ultrafast optical probes of exciton-phonon and exciton-exciton correlations in hybrid semiconductors
Prof. Volker Engel, Institut für Physikalische und Theoretische Chemie, Universität Würzburg, Germany
Research area: Quantum Theory of Molecular Femtosecond Spectroscopy
Tutorial 1: Infinite Jest - Dynamics of nuclei and electrons in molecules
Tutorial 2: Settin' the Pace - Preparation, detection and control of molecular motion with ultrashort laser pulses.
Women Scientist Workshop:
(Monday 14 January 2019, 9am - 12 noon)
Prof. Clara Saraceno, and Prof. Enrica Bordignon, both RESOLV Professors at the Ruhr University Bochum who were previously at ETH Zürich.
Presentations:
Abstracts of the presentations can be found here: Presentation Abstracts. We will make a printed contents list (page 1) available at the registration desk.
Posters:
The poster abstracts can be downloaded here: Poster Abstracts. The list of abstracts will be available at the registration desk. Posters 1-25 are in room FIRST, downstairs, next to room Jungfrau; posters 26-77 are in room EIGER, upstairs.
Bussalp evening event
The evening event is on January 15, 18:00 from the Sunstar Hotel. Because of the high avalanche risk, the busses will take us to Lochsteinen (1'424 m), where we get the sledges. If you need a head torch, you can buy one here.
From Lochsteinen, we will sledge down to Grindelwald. From there, we will walk down to the Hotelfor a buffet dinner at the Sunstar Hotel.
