Universal IR-pump-IR-probe, UV/VIS-pump-IR-probe and 2D-IR spectrometer, covering the spectral range from 1000-3500 cm-1 in the IR and 260-800 nm in the UV/VIS. |

. . | The left/top image shows the complete measurement setup, which can be used as IR-pump-IR-probe, UV/VIS-pump-IR-probe or 2D-IR spectrometer in a routine and versatile manner due to a very modular design. An OPA is used as IR light source, delivering tunable 1-2 µJ, 100 fs pulses in the 1000-3500 cm-1 spectral range [1]. A 2nd and 3rd harmonic generator together with a NOPA is used to cover the UV/VIS range for pumping. The right image shows the compact Mach-Zehnder Interferometer needed for 2D IR spectroscopy in pump-probe geometry [2]. |
